Situated in the heart of the Itchen valley, a public house has been trading on this site since the 16th century. Now known as the Chestnut Horse, the pub oozes character - boasting open fires, log burners and old-world charm. The décor, courtyard terrace, and multiple areas for eating and drinking offer all our guests the perfect spot to enjoy our interpretation of modern British top-to-tail cookery and contemporary drinks all played out to a folk, soul and blues sound.
Following a major refurbishment, we now serve up a slice of metropolitan life with our modern interpretation of top-to-tail eating using the freshest and best truly local, seasonal ingredients. The kitchen team take influences from all over the world to create their own spin on classic pub dishes. Alongside our chops, steaks and burgers, we offer our guests a selection of re-imagined pub classics as well as home made pizzas and quirky decadent puddings.SEE OUR SAMPLE MENUS
